Music & Arts Camp
This year, FPC offers two Music & Arts camps!
Music and Arts Camp for 1st through 5th grades, July 21 - 25, $125. In an ever-changing world, our children provide opportunities for us to develop faith, character, integrity and all of those family values that God has set before us. "Its OK to be Different" is this year's theme for Music and Arts Camp 2008. Once again, our incredible staff will be here to sing, dance, ring, and create. Each day, our campers will sing in choir, ring chimes or handbells, create beautiful works of art, play the Orff instruments, drumming , and learn how to be actors and actresses. Our older campers will also choose a special elective to participate in that includes advanced art, guitar, and drumming. Our day begins at 9:00 and ends at 3:15. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided each day as well as a pizza lunch party on Friday. Camp will conclude with a grand presentation of music and drama on Friday evening. Join us as we plant God's musical seeds and watch them grow!
Pre-School Music and Arts Camp for 4 and 5 year olds, August 11 - 14, $75. The Children's Music Ministry of First Presbyterian is excited to present a new program for our youngest stars. Carnival of the Animals. Young Musicians Music and Arts Camp 2008 will be an incredible opportunity for our younger musicians to experience the joy and love of music and art in new and creative ways. Our program will include hands on learning every day. Our campers will learn to play chimes, percussion instruments, and the Orff instruments. Everyone will find out how fun singing in a choir can be. Art exploration will uncover the hidden artists in each of our children. Camp will begin each day at 9:30 and end at 12:30. All of our campers will receive a camp T-shirt and enjoy a mid-morning snack each day. All children, ages 4 through Kindergarten, are invited to attend this fun-filled week. Class size is limited so don’t be left out.

Advent Celebration
Advent Celebration is held at the beginning of Advent every year. This celebration gives families the opportunity to enjoy a church family meal and make Christmas crafts. The children also have fun decorating Christmas cookies.
God's Plan for Growing Up
This class seeks to help parents educate their children about human sexuality. Using the curriculum Amazing Stuff: God’s Plan for Growing Up, we have developed a 4 week class for children in 4th and 5th grade. Throughout the class we provide ways for parents to partner with us in this process. This curriculum is published by the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
Communion Workshop
Offered in the fall, this workshop helps prepare children and their parents for the sacrament of Communion. Parents attend this workshop with their children and receive developmentally appropriate teaching regarding communion as well as practical hands on preparation.
Easter Workshop
Easter Sunday finds all generations in the gym for breakfast and crafts. The children visit crafts stations that reinforce the Easter story.
KidQuake and Summer Camps
KidQuake is a Grace Presbytery sponsored weekend retreat in the spring for 1st through 5th grade children. Week long camps are also offered by the Presbytery in the summer. Summer Music and Arts camp is offered at FPC during June.
