FPC’s Young Adult Ministry provides a forum for young adults to gather for worship, study, service, and social events. Adults in their 20's-40's, both married and single, are welcome. Questions? Contact Eric Varnon, Director of Young Adult Ministry (817.335.1231, ext. 244).

YOUNG ADULTS ON SUNDAY MORNINGS

YOUNG ADULT CHURCH SCHOOL CLASS
Sundays at 10 a.m., Room 234
Sunday mornings are an opportunity for faith, reflection and personal growth. The class will explore key characters from the New Testament in the spring of 2023.

PRESBYTERIAN ALL-FAMILIES CHURCH SCHOOL CLASS
Sundays at 10 a.m., Room 226 (for adults with young children)
This class gives parents of children an opportunity to study and share from their unique perspective as parents in today’s world. They like to call themselves the "We Get it Group" because they all share in the struggles of parenthood.

LAST SUNDAY BRUNCHES
Monthly Brunch at a local spot for fellowship and conversation
Going to 9 a.m. worship at First Pres? Just make your way over when the service concludes. Headed to 11 a.m. worship? Join us at 9:30 a.m. and head over to First Pres just in time for worship. 

YOUNG ADULT MID-WEEK GATHERINGS

Young Adult Social Gatherings, 1st Friday of each month
Monthly social gatherings are planned for the first week of each month. Young Adults (YAs) are invited to gather to enjoy local restaurants, game nights, escape rooms, or any ideas you might have! 

Study & Discussion, 2nd & 4th Tuesday of each month, 7 p.m. Join us for a Bible Study at various locations each month. 

Pickleball & Other Games, 3rd Wednesday of each month, 6-8 p.m. Join us for some fun and games at various locations each month. 

YOUNG ADULT SERVICE GROUP

5th Saturday Choice Pantry: The First Pres Young Adults (YAs) host an afternoon Choice Pantry at Community Crossroads each month there is a 5th Saturday. In 2023 the pantry is scheduled for April 29, July 29, September 30, and December 30. The group gathers to prepare and to set up for the Choice Pantry at 11 a.m. The pantry is open from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  All volunteers are required to complete the Civil Rights Training course. Additionally, a Food Handlers Certificate is helpful. For questions regarding training courses, please contact Eric Varnon, 817.335.1231.

5th Wednesday Bingo Night: In partnership with Worship on Wednesday (WOW!) at Community Crossroads, young adults gather to build relationships and have fellowship with neighbors following worship and dinner each month that has a 5th Wednesday. In 2023 we will host Bingo Night on March 29, May 31, August 30, and November 29. For questions and information, please contact Eric Varnon, 817.335.1231.

Community and World Partnerships: In addition to the above opportunities with Community Crossroads, the Young Adult service group engages with other community partners including Trinity Habitat for Humanity, Opal Lee’s Community Garden, The Presbyterian Night Shelter, and more. UKIRK MINISTRIES FOR COLLEGE STUDENTS
College students are welcome at First Presbyterian Church! We understand that college-age young adults face unique challenges and opportunities. We would love a chance to walk alongside you in this part of your life. Please contact Eric Varnon if you are a college-age young adult and  would like to explore how we can be a part of this phase of your life. 

Ukirk Women's Bible Study meets on Mondays at 5 p.m. (February 6, 20; March 6, 20; April 3, 17; May TBA) at Common Grounds near TCU. For information contact Robyn Michalove.
