The Bible and Your Faith: Reading and Studying Scripture
First Presbyterian Church offers a variety of seminars, courses, workshops and small group experiences for reading and studying the Bible. From those who have never studied or read the Bible to those who have been reading and studying for years, opportunities exist for an ever growing and deepening encounter with scripture. In addition to on-going Church School classes, Presbyterian Women’s Circles, and Men’s Bible Study Groups, two opportunities this fall are described below. To register, fill in the form below. Reading the Bible in 9 months - Daily Bible readings enable participants to read through the entire Bible in 9 months. Led by Dr. Rev. Michael Waschevski, monthly gatherings will be held for those committed to reading through the Bible. These gatherings will enrich the individual experiences of scripture. The Reading the Bible in 9 Months reading plan can be started anytime September - May. It is available by clicking the link below.
Bible in Depth - This popular course is offered twice a week (choose one) on Sunday mornings from 10 - 10:45 a.m. and Wednesday mornings from 10:45 - 11:45 a.m. Led by the Rev. Robyn Michalove (Sunday Class) and Dr. Rev. Michael Waschevski (Wednesday Class), a book of the Bible is studied verse by verse. Throughout the study participants grow in their understanding of scripture and its' application to their daily life of faith. The current session is a study of Genesis.
