Helping our neighbors through First HAND (Hospitality, Advocacy, Nurture, and Dignity)
First HAND provides two food options for our neighbors to choose from: receive two bags of groceries twice per month or receive a sack lunch every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Our neighbors may participate in one of the two options each month to meet their individual needs, as well as to continue to participate in other area food programs in addition to First HAND.

Grocery Distribution:
12 - 1:30 p.m. (Each Wednesday and Thursday)

Sack Lunch Distribution
11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. (Monday, Wednesday, & Thursday)
Volunteers must complete a Civil Rights Training, and if working with hospitality, must complete a Food Handler training.
To participate, our neighbors must complete a household application for food one time per year.

Our neighbors may request clothing up to four times per year by completing a clothing request form available at Community Crossroads. Any agency may submit a clothing request by fax at 817.921.3535. Clothing orders will be filled within one week.

Clothing Orders May Be Picked Up
Mondays: 8:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Wednesdays: 8:30 - 11 a.m. and 6 - 7:30 p.m.

Listening Post:
This ministry occurs anytime First HAND or WOW are operating. Volunteers are available to listen to our neighbors who simply want to share a joy, a concern, and/or to pray together.

Due to Covid-19, the Dental Clinic is currently suspended. This ministry provides free dental services for people experiencing homelessness. Services are offered several times per month by appointment only. Appointments are made by case managers working with clients in area agencies. Local dentists along with their staff team up with volunteers to offer much needed dental care for adults. The clinic operates about up to three times a month. For more information, please contact Community Crossroads Director, Dori Al Hammami. 817.921.3955

NOTE: Due to Covid-19, ESL classes are temporarily suspended. English as a Second Language class meets on Wednesdays from 9:15 - 10:30 a.m. Childcare is available for children 3-years-old and younger.

3rd Monday of each Month, 9-11 a.m.
Mothers and children in need can visit Community Crossroads on the third Monday of each month for free formula and diapers. Donations of powdered formula (Similac Advance Stage 1 Formula) and diapers of all sizes are always welcome and needed to keep this ministry going. To participate in this program, please, bring a birth certificate the first time you participate for each child 3-years-old and younger. For formula, please bring your WIC card. (Note: FAD is closed on some Federal Holidays, please call ahead for schedule changes).
