Childcare at FPC

  • Children are always welcome in worship. We encourage families to keep children in worship once they enter Kindergarten. Childcare for 6 week olds - 4 year olds is provided on Sunday mornings from 8:30 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.
  • Our professional staff provides a loving environment for children to play and learn.
  • Children ages 2-4 enjoy Church School taught by church members on Sundays from 10 - 10:45 a.m.
  • Members also volunteer to work alongside staff members during both the 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. services. Staff and church members are screened, nationally background checked, and trained. Your child will be safe and in good hands.

Childcare is located on the second floor of the building and most easily accessed by parking in the church parking lot off Penn Street and entering through the doors marked “Parlor." Once in the building, follow the signs to childcare. For help finding your child’s classroom, check in with the Childcare Coordinator outside of Room 203.

Infants: Room 203
Toddlers: Room 205
2-year-olds: Room 213
3-year-olds: Room 207
4-year-olds: Room 208

When you drop your child off, you will be asked to sign them in and check out a pager. If your child becomes sick or inconsolable, we will “buzz” you so that you can return to the Childcare Center.

Nursing mothers will find comfortable rocking chairs in a private space in the parlor of the women's restrooms located between the Sanctuary and Great Hall on the main floor of our worship spaces.

Childcare is provided for many off-Sunday morning church programs as well. A reservation must be made for non-worship childcare during any event other than for Sunday worship. Contact the Elementary Church School to make a reservation.

For your child’s safety, FPC has a child protection policy. All paid childcare staff and all volunteer teachers complete an information form and have a national background check completed every two years. Classrooms always have two teachers for safety and supervision. For questions about childcare, please contact Ann Nielsen, Director of Children and Family Ministries, 817.335.1231, ext. 232.

Please note that all adult volunteers who participate in our Children's ministries are trained on FPC's Abuse Prevention System. You can view our Child and Youth Protection Policy here.
