MOMS Ministry

MOMS (Mothers Offering Mothers Support) is a ministry of First Presbyterian Church for all mothers of children of all ages. Gather with other mothers for support, encouragement, Bible study, fellowship, and friendship. For working moms, stay-at-home-moms, and all moms in between! Come as your schedule allows; no need to attend every meeting or the entire meeting — let MOMS fit your busy life.

MOMS group currently meets on Zoom and is discussing the book, Inspired: Slaying Giants, Walking on Water, and Loving the Bible Again by Rachel Held Evans, as well as checking in with one another for encouragement and prayer.

Rachel was a New York Times bestselling author and popular blogger. She died tragically in 2019, but she leaves a prophetic legacy of tackling theological issues with candor and courage. She was also a mother to two young children.  Rachel’s book Inspired is her quest to better understand what the Bible is and how it is meant to be read. What she discovered changed her, and we anticipate that it may also change us.

If you would like to join these Zoom calls, please contact Rev. Robyn Michalove.

Although all gatherings are currently suspended due to Covid-19, under normal circumstances, MOMS' group schedule is to gather twice a month (1st Thursday and 3rd Wednesday) at the church. Friends are welcome and childcare provided for children 7 years and younger with prior registration. Books can be purchased from the church. Contact Rev. Robyn Michalove, 817.335.1231, ext. 266.

Mid-Cities MOMS Groups also normally meet throughout the academic year on the first Monday of the month. We meet in church members' homes in the Mid-Cities area. Dinner is provided. Join our Remind group @midmoms to receive reminders and address information for our monthly gatherings.  To sign up or get more information, contact Ministry Assistant Jayne McFarland, 817.335.1231, ext. 224.
