Men's Ministry

First Presbyterian Church has a simple, yet profound mission: Inspiring Disciples: Engaging the World. We aim to inspire men at First Presbyterian Church. Questions? Please contact Ministry Assistant Patty O'Brien, 817.335.1231, ext. 223.

MEN, MOVIES, AND MESSAGE. Men’s Ministry is starting something new, and we think we're onto some great plans for the future! We hope you’ll join us for “Men, Movies and Message” on Tuesday, May 25 at 5:30 p.m. at Heim BBQ River (5333 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth). This will be a lighter hearted discussion, the first in our monthly series looking at pop culture and how it conveys the message of the Gospels. Throughout the series, Rev. Brendan McLean will be leading us through several movies; the first session is entitled “Lord of the Rings, Lord of Us All.” (And you don’t have to have seen the movie to get the message and enjoy the discussions.)

Monday mornings, 6:30-7:45 a.m., Zoom
Become part of a group of more than a dozen men who meet weekly to grow in their relationship with God and one another through Bible Study, prayer and sharing.

Join a group of dedicated men of the church who visit one man a month who can no longer participate in church activities, keeping them connected to the church body. A homebound member is assigned each month and volunteers can calendar their visits to meet their personal schedules. Following visits, the leader of the group is contacted to share the visitation experience. This information is then passed on to the Parish Visitor for the church to continue to support and meet the needs of the homebound member. The group meets quarterly for follow-up.
