First Presbyterian Church of Fort Worth

Josh Stewart

Welcome > Our Staff

"What can I give back to God for the blessings he's poured out on me? I lift high the cup of salvation as a toast to our Father,” says rock legend Bono during a U2 concert in Boston. Joshua Stewart, Associate Pastor for Youth, enjoys echoing these faithful words from the 116th Psalm to youth of all ages. "My passion is communicating the gospel to youth," says Josh, who is enthusiastically working with our Middle School and Senior High youth. He is also passionately involved in our college group "The Roof," confirmation class, and regularly participating in worship. "Seeing as we are all ministers and witnesses of Christ's love," says Josh, "I am just one of many who are called to testify to the gospel of the grace of God."

Joshua is a graduate of Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas where he studied English and art. He has a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary. As a proud Presbyterian, Josh has served in various youth ministry opportunities including his time at Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church in Ringoes, New Jersey as a youth minister/seminary intern. He also served on the summer staff of Camp John Marc (Meridian, Texas), a camp for children with chronic illnesses, for four summers. In October 2005, Josh was ordained in his home church and installed as our new Associate Pastor. Pottery, the out-of-doors, art, Bob Dylan, and coffee are some of his hobbies and interests.
