Egypt: Joseph’s Journey from Prison to Palace
Imagine what it was like to live and work in a dusty, bustling, noisy city along the Nile in ancient Egypt.
You would hear the hubbub about what was happening in Pharaoh’s palace. You might work with people who followed countless gods, and perhaps hear about someone who follows only one God.
Perhaps you’d wonder about the new guy Pharaoh has put in charge of storing and distributing food. Some say this former prisoner has the gift of interpreting dreams!
Egypt immerses learners of all ages in Bible-times culture, helping kids and adults explore what it might have been like to live in a culture that had never heard of the one true God.
Families will experience new traditions, taste new foods, try new arts and crafts projects and discover that God never leaves us alone through life’s trials and triumphs.
Children will have fun during Celebration time before heading off to the Egyptian marketplace or to Pyramid Playground or a visit to Joseph. Come along with us as we journey from prison to palace with Joseph!

Elementary Music and Arts Camp
All children who have completed Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to participate in an awesome week of musical fun. Our week-long camp is led by professional singers, dancers, artists and musicians. The camp is held daily, July 26-30, from 9 a.m.-3:15 p.m.
Tuition is $125. This cost includes our professional instructors for each class, two snacks each day, a camp T-shirt, all art materials and a pizza lunch on Friday. A DVD to remember your week is also included. Campers should bring a sack lunch Monday-Thursday. If your child has food allergies, please provide two snacks for them each day.
Our campers will present a very special concert on Friday evening, July 30, sharing their new found talents and abilities with family and friends.
We offer six classes each day in several areas of the arts, for both the experienced and the beginner. Our goal is to have our campers go home at the end of each day rejoicing in their creativity.
Each day all campers will attend classes in art, choir, dance, Orff instruments (pitched rhythm instruments), and handbells or chimes. Younger campers will also enjoy one class of recreation.
Children completing 4th and 5th grade will have the fun of choosing an elective: art master class, guitar, drumming, and new this year, a photography class, Click It! Your photographers will learn the tricks of taking a great picture and learn the art of photo editing in our computer lab.
Art Master Class is a hands-on exploration of art history and art styles for the serious art students.
More than just strumming chords, Guitar Class will teach campers how to play melodies as well as proper technique.
The Drumming Class is an action-packed experience of sound and rhythm. Working together, this ensemble will learn the skill and techniques of drumming through echoing and call and response. The rhythms are awesome and the sound is incredible!
Our camp has an outstanding reputation as a quality program, benefiting children throughout our area. Class size is limited. Registration will close on or before July 1, or as classes are filled. For more information, contact Susan LaPointe at 817-335-1231 or slapointe@fpcfw.org.

God's Plan for Growing Up
This class seeks to help parents educate their children about human sexuality. Using the curriculum Amazing Stuff: God’s Plan for Growing Up, we have developed a 4 week class for children in 4th and 5th grade. Throughout the class we provide ways for parents to partner with us in this process. This curriculum is published by the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
Sacraments Workshop
Offered in the fall, this workshop helps prepare children and their parents for the sacrament of Communion and teach them about baptism. Parents attend this workshop with their children and receive developmentally appropriate teaching regarding Communion and baptism, as well as practical hands on preparation.
KidQuake and Summer Camps
KidQuake is a Grace Presbytery sponsored weekend retreat in the spring for 1st through 5th grade children. Week-long camps are also offered by the Presbytery and Mo-Ranch in the summer.
