M.O.S.A.I.C.

M.O.S.A.I.C. (Many Outstanding Students Always in Christ) is a city-wide youth group of 6th-12th graders from multi-ethnic Presbyterian congregations (First, Gethsemane and Oakhurst Presbyterian churches).  Currently, 15-20 youth regularly participate in the weekly Sunday afternoon gatherings.  We alternate between fellowship activities, service projects, and Bible studies/discussions at the three churches. In the summer the group gets together for fellowship and the highlight is the Multicultural Conference at Mo Ranch.

If you know someone (a youth or an adult) who would like to be involved in this dynamic group, please contact Josh Stewart, Associate Pastor.

M.O.S.A.I.C. Identity and Vision Statements

Identity Statement: (adopted March 3, 2009)

"We are a group of middle school and high school students from smaller faith communities in Fort Worth who live into the diversity of the Body of Christ (1 Corinthians 12).  We celebrate our variety of cultures, ethnicities, classes, languages, experiences, and home churches.  We strive to break down all barriers that would keep us apart.  The foundations of our community are the grace of God in Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit.  We build on these foundations through fellowship, study, service, and prayer."

Vision Statement: (adopted March 3, 2009)

"By God's grace, everyone feels comfortable being themselves.  By God's power, everyone feels empowered to make a difference."
