Mission at FPC
Mission at First Presbyterian provides numerous opportunities to heed these instructions of Jesus to be faithful and active disciples of Jesus Christ as we share the love of God with others.
Some of the church's main mission activities appear in the links to the left. However, there are many more, including:
Habitat for Humanity: First Presbyterian Church has participated in more than 50 local builds. Church members generally work on two houses each year, doing everything from framing to painting to bringing lunch to the job site.
Mission Trips: Groups travel to one of several destinations domestic or abroad. Learn about needs in other areas of the country and the world while helping to meet some of those needs during your stay. Recent teams have traveled to Haiti, Nicaragua and several domestic destinations, including the Gulf Coast, Arkansas, Colorado and Minnesota.
